Carrying educational and charitable activities in communities

APWCR is incorporated exclusively for charitable and educational purposes and strives to protect and promote human rights through research, education, advocacy, and developmental programs in targeted communities in the United States of America and Africa with a focus on women, children and youths.

In promoting the mission of APWCR and that of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal on Decent Work and Economic Growth, APWCR deployed its experts to Amassi, Ayi, Alumfa, Batabi and Alunti communities to empower 40 women and 20 youth with their small businesses economically from July 28 to August 3, 2022.

APWCR identified a total of 100 children who were either Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) that had fled interior villages and come to get refuge in Tole community, Buea - Cameroon; Orphans who have lost one or both parents and are struggling to survive; Children living with grandparents because their parents had to flee to unknown destinations and the grandparents are suffering with the kids for survival; Children from homes where livelihoods have been destroyed and they are struggling to pick the pieces of their lives together and donated educational materials.

APWCR CEO, Mr. George Abang Tawoh, addressed the United Nations Civil Society Forum on Persons with Disabilities in New York, USA, on June 12, 2017. He urged the United Nations to pressure the Cameroonian government to look into the issue of arbitrarily arrested and unjustly imprisoned activists so that lawyers may return to court and teachers may return to school.
